Work Education Instructors in Haryana, employed under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, have started a fast unto death to demand the implementation of By-Laws 2013 and Grade-Pay. They claim that the education department has been neglecting their demands, despite multiple meetings with concerned officials. The agitating teachers are directly recruited employees with minimal salary increases over the years. They also complain about additional work assignments during various events without proper compensation or allowances.
