Unfinished Manjri bridge forces punishing detour on schoolkids
At a fundamental level, a bridge is supposed to shorten distances and increase access. But in Mahadeonagar, a rail overbridge that has been under construction for years now, instead of “bridging distances” has widened the access gap. What earlier used to be a 2km school run, has now become a long laborious 9km detour through heavy traffic for many students and their parents living in housing societies on the Manjri Road in Mahadeonagar.
