Senior PSU official among 7 held in Rs 20L bribery case
The CBI has arrested seven people, including the executive secretary to the CMD of Bridge & Roof Company, in a bribery case involving Rs 20 lakh. The proprietor of a private company, which was trying to secure a tender in Odisha, was also among the arrested. The bribe amount was tracked down to the government company official, and searches conducted in multiple cities led to the recovery of Rs 26.6 lakh. The accused were remanded in police custody till September 21.
