Reduction in reservation protestedThe group of protesters in front of the Gandhi statue in Mysuru are protesting the state government's purported move to reduce reservation for smaller communities and other disadvantaged sections of society. They allege that the state government is being pressured by groups of dominant castes and communities which are trying to get the benefits of reservation. They demand that the state government ensure reservation is extended to the vulnerable sections of society.
