Over 1.5 lakh women voters added in Mysuru within 5 years
The significance of women in elections has seen drastic growth over the past decades in both the state and India. While the number of women voters in the state was 55.13 lakh in 1962, it has now increased to 2.59 crore in 2023 contributing to about 49.69 per cent of the total voter share in Karnataka.
