Now KEA to conduct KSETA state government transferred power of holding a Karnataka State Eligibility Test (Kset) for Assistant Professor positions to the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) citing complaints of irregularities in the Kset 2021. Pratap Simha, an MP from Mysuru, had approached the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the state government against the way in which the Kset was conducted in July 2021. He had alleged rampant irregularities in this examination. The UGC had conducted the Kset examinations in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2020. According to an order issued by the state higher education department, a separate committee has been formed to inquiry the alleged irregularities in 2021 July examination. The KEA is authorized to hold the 2022 examination and all future examinations also. Zoo and Karanji Nature Park will be kept open to the public on December 27, a release said.
