Narendra Modi: Protective culture helped India do wonders in wildlife conservation
Hailing the phenomenal success of Project Tiger which resulted in doubling of the tiger population over the past 50 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said India, with about 2.4% of the world's land, currently contributes about 8% of the known global biodiversity. He said India achieved several milestones in wildlife conservation due to the protective nature imbibed in its culture.
