Mangalore University plans to part with 150 teaching, non-teaching posts to Kodagu varsity
Kodagu University, which has been carved out of the four-decade-old Mangalore University, was inaugurated on Tuesday. With this, the MU has proposed to hand over about 150 teaching and non-teaching posts to the new university. The legislative assembly passed a bill amending the Karnataka State Universities Act, 2000 (Karnataka Act 29 of 2001) last September to constitute eight new universities, including Kodagu University.
