Mandya honoured for highest enrolment of pregnant women
The Karnataka health department has honoured Mandya district for the highest enrolment of pregnant women with the health department, which is critical to bring down the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR). Presently the IMR of Mandya district is 15, which is below the state average of 19 and national average of 30.
