Mamata to visit Odisha, Bengal first to give jobs to victims' kin
Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday scrapped a planned four-day trip to North Bengal in favour of a visit to Odisha on Tuesday to meet 53 accident victims from Bengal currently being treated in hospital. Bengal also became the first state to announce jobs for relatives of those killed or maimed in the Balasore accident, with Banerjee announcing a special home guard posting for a family member each.
