Maharashtra: Wakad man loses Rs 10 lakh in bakery franchise con
A resident of Wakad, Pune, was scammed out of Rs10 lakhs by cyber crooks who promised him a franchise of a bakery and cake shop chain. The victim filled in his details on a website and received a call from someone claiming to be from the franchise in Mumbai. He was asked to pay registration and security charges, which he did. However, it turned out to be a scam, and the victim lost his money. The police are investigating the case.
