IIT Bombay to offer BTech in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from 2024
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is introducing a new undergraduate program after nearly a decade. Starting from 2024, a B.Tech course in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) will be offered, and admission will be based on JEE scores. The decision, approved in a recent senate meeting, is driven by the growing need for skilled professionals in a rapidly advancing nation. The IEOR program, already available at the postgraduate and PhD levels, will now be extended to undergraduates to meet the demand for manpower with this specialized training.
