House visit, mandatory test in WB govt's dengue advisory
In response to a surge in dengue cases in Kolkata and surrounding areas, the state government has implemented several measures. These include door-to-door visits by health workers in affected zones, mandatory dengue tests for those with a fever lasting more than two days, and urging people to avoid using painkillers and instead use paracetamol and fluids. The government also plans to take legal action against property owners who do not comply with dengue prevention measures. The rise in cases is particularly notable in North 24 Parganas, Howrah, Hooghly, Nadia, Murshidabad, Malda, and South 24 Parganas.
