Hope for road after 30-yr wait A road will connect Hubballi-Dharwad in Karnataka, which has been the goal of residents of the Ashraya Colony for many years. The necessary land was given to the HDMC, and the residents of the colony must cross a stream to reach the village. There are about 4000 people living in this area, and 900 houses. Elected representatives have presented many requests to authorities, but it has taken years to convince the farmers to part with land. The road construction will soon be completed with the completion of the land acquisition ceremony.
