Govt hikes payout for phase 2 of Noida airport by Rs 880 crore
The state government has approved an additional Rs 880 crore as compensation for the second phase of the Noida International Airport, bringing the total payout to landowners to Rs 4,780 crore. The acquisition of 70% of the land has been completed, and compensation of Rs 2,800 crore has been distributed. The remaining land will be used for the development of a maintenance, repair, and overhauling (MRO) hub. The Noida International Airport Ltd (NIAL) is expected to float a global tender for the MRO center soon. The airport's first phase is set to be completed by October 2024.
