Farmers’ demand for 10% abadi plots or equivalent amount to be sent to govt
The Noida Authority in India has decided to send the demand of farmers seeking 10% abadi plots or compensation to the state government. The board also approved new criteria for the allotment of industrial plots, with a focus on projects related to the "sunrise" and "focus" sectors. Additionally, a budget of Rs 4.9 crore was approved for repairing pipelines to provide cleaner water to 75% of the city's population. Despite raising the farmers' issues with the government multiple times, the Authority has not received a response. Persistent protests by farmers have disrupted the Authority's operations.
