Despite opposition, VD Savarkar portrait unveiled in Karnataka's Suvarna Soudha hall 
Hours before Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai unveiled the portraits of seven noted personalities, including Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and VD Savarkar, in the assembly hall of Belagavi's Suvarna Vidhana Soudha on Monday, Congress staged a flash protest on the steps leading to the edifice demanding a portrait of India's first PM Jawaharlal Nehru be also installed.
