Delhi-NCR Air Pollution: BS 'error', cars meeting fuel standards banned
Around 2 lakh vehicles in Noida and 2.5 lakh in Ghaziabad will be affected by the ban on vehicles that do not meet BS IV and VI standards. Many of these vehicles were wrongly registered as BS III by car dealers. The ban, implemented by the Commission for Air Quality Management, allows only BS IV and VI petrol vehicles and BS VI diesel vehicles in NCR cities. Vehicle owners affected by the ban are advised to submit fresh applications to reissue registration certificates.
