Crooks use remote app to get loan, steal Rs 18L from man's a/c
Cybercrooks availed a Rs16 lakh personal loan in the name of a Mangalwar Peth resident by posing as customer cell representatives of a leading private bank. They used a remote access app to gain control of the victim's phone banking app. The victim reported the incident to Pune Cyber police, who then registered a formal FIR. The fraudsters transferred a total of Rs18.35 lakh from the victim's account through multiple transactions.
