A woman gets a call to discuss a job, never returns: How Nithari trail began
A CBI court in Ghaziabad has awarded Surinder Koli, the main accused in the Nithari serial killings, his 13th death sentence in the last of the 16 Nithari cases. The case began in 2006 when Nand Lal's daughter went missing after receiving a call from Koli. Despite initial difficulties in filing a complaint, police eventually found evidence linking Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher to the murders. Eight skeletal remains were found at the bungalow, leading to the CBI taking over the investigation. Nand Lal was later convicted of perjury during the trial.
