6 booked for holding SI hostageAn SI was held hostage and manhandled in Haripurwa Village of Vishdhan Police Outpost under the limits of Kakwan Police Station on Sunday evening. Six accused have been booked under the relevant sections of IPC including conspiracy and assault. The press conference was held by ADCP South Ankita Sharma. Soni a resident of Haripurwa Village had married a local Vivek Awasthi in Court against her parent's will on December 3. Soni's parents lodged a case against Vivek and two others at Kakwan Police Station accusing them of kidnapping their daughter. Subinspector Garvit Tyagi was deputed to investigate the case however during the investigation it came to fore that both Soni and Vivek are adults and their marriage is valid. To complete the papers, the subinspector along with a constable had gone to the village on Sunday evening to collect papers from the plaintiff for submission of a final report into the case. Meanwhile, a video went viral on Sunday evening, wherein the subinspector was seen holding a woman in a locked room of the house after coming across the viral video.
