13 arrested for public drinkingIn Ludhiana, the Ludhiana City Police lodged seven more FIRs against people consuming alcohol in open areas besides booking two persons for smuggling illicit liquor in the first case. The police also arrested Sumit of Pradhan Chicken Corner for serving them liquor without a licence. In Division Number 3, the police arrested Lovely Luthra of Bangru Mohalla for serving liquor to some people outside his house. The police also seized 11 bottles of liquor from him. In Division Number 5, the police arrested Vikas Bansal Sachin Mittal and Deepak Kumar all of Barnala for consuming liquor near aarti chowk on GT Road in another case. In Division Number 7, the police arrested Paras of Kishor Nagar for consuming alcohol in an open near Vardhaman Chowk Tibba. The police also arrested Sukhwinder Singh and Sunil Kumar of Jassiyan Colony for consuming liquor in their car in Shakti Nagar.
