Winds blow monsoon clouds to north, Kolkata waits
A strong southwesterly wind, which is driving away all the moisture and clouds to north Bengal, has delayed the onset of monsoon in Gangetic Bengal and Kolkata. With heavy rains predicted across north Bengal over the next two days, chances of monsoon currents moving into the city and surrounding districts of south Bengal are negligible till at least Sunday, said the Met office.
