West Bengal: Man stabs dog for drinking water
An FIR was lodged against a resident of Howrah's Bauria on Saturday for stabbing a stray dog for allegedly drinking water from a tumbler kept in front of his house. As the dog lay bleeding, college student Koel Das, a neighbour, protested against the brutality. She, too, was assaulted by accused Basu Pramanik. He was arrested on Saturday evening.
