WB: HS high scores may push up cut-offs for college admissions
Among 6,34,142 students, who cleared the Higher Secondary Examinations, 28,162 scored over 90% with a record 272 candidates finishing in the top 10. Sixty-nine students ranked 10th with 97.8%. Board president Chiranjib Bhattyacharya attributed the high scores to students taking the exams from the comfort of their own schools this time.
