WB hospitals get Covid-ready after rise in cases
A sudden spurt in the number of fresh cases - Bengal recorded 107 cases on Friday and 139 on Saturday - has made several private hospitals prepare their Covid wards again and have asked staff and doctors to be ready for a quick conversion of beds. So far, none of the leading private facilities have received any Covid patient and the positivity rate at their laboratories remains negligible. But many apprehend a slow but steady rise in admissions over the next fortnight if cases keep rising.
