Water supply in HDMC areas on way to normalcy The Hubballi water supply which was thrown out of gear in some HDMC areas after the supply work was transferred to a private agency from the water board has started returning to normalcy despite noncooperation from water board employees. The private staff monitored by Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC) could hold control over the water pipeline network and trace water supply valves, which made it difficult for HDMC Commissioner Dr. B. Gopal Krishna to resolve the issue. HDMC Corporators, Valve Men, and KUIDFC Engineers worked hard to resolve the issue many residents cooperated with them by offering food and temporary shelters to working staff on sites. Two more customer service centres will be set up apart from four that are there. HDMC is formulating the LTI customer relation management system under which a tollfree number will be set to address grievances currently LTI staff are collecting feedback by visiting wards.
