UPSC Civil Services Exam: Candidates from which stream succeed the most?
63% of UPSC CSE Mains candidates between 2017-2021 were engineering graduates. Humanities subjects like political science, international relations, and sociology were chosen by engineers as optional subjects in UPSC Civil services exam. 597 postgraduates in humanities and 243 postgraduates in engineering qualified the exam. Candidates wrote their papers in vernacular languages. Top institutes like DU, JNU, and IITs have high success rates of candidates qualifying UPSC CSE Mains.
