Two former DIGs of jails booked in Punjab
On the recommendation of the director general of police, the city cops have booked two former deputy inspector generals (DIGs) of Punjab jails, Sukhdev Singh Saggu and Lakhwinder Singh Jakhar, under the NDPS, Excise, and Prevention of Corruption Acts 11 years after they allegedly hushed up 241 matters of drug and mobile phone recovery from the Ferozepur Central Jail during their tenures as prison superintendents.
