TMC wrests Asansol from BJP, holds on to Ballygunge
Trinamool Congress wrested the Asansol parliamentary constituency from BJP and retained the Ballygunge assembly seat in the bypolls, taking its seat count in the Lok Sabha to 23 and maintaining its official Vidhan Sabha tally of 211.
