Temp down but KMC areas reported 28 dengue cases last week; BMC none 
Despite a drop in temperature and no rain, a few dengue cases were reported in KMC areas of Kolkata last week. However, there were no cases reported in Salt Lake and Rajarhat-Gopalpur areas, which fall under the BMC jurisdiction. KMC recorded 28 fresh dengue cases, prompting the civic body to intensify anti-vector activities in affected localities. Last year, KMC reported over 13,500 dengue cases, while BMC recorded around 3,940 cases, the second highest in recent times.
