'Soon, travel from Aurangabad to Pune in 2 hrs'
This is a summary of a speech given by Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in Satara and Sangli districts of Maharashtra. Gadkari announced that travel time between Pune and Aurangabad will be reduced to two hours once the Mumbaidelhi Expressway is completed next year, and that work on the National Highways worth of Rs. 2300 crore has been started in Satara and Sangli districts. He also announced that the Alandi to Pandharpur road will be completed in the next three months, and that an event of songs of Vitthal sung by Pandit Bhimsen Joshi and others on the banks of Chandraprabha River in Pandharpur be organised.
