Similarity in appearance led to body swap at civil hospital, finds probe
A body swap between two people in Ludhiana, India caused confusion and resulted in the wrong body being cremated. A five-member inquiry committee was formed to investigate the matter, and found that different people were responsible for the mistake. The report submitted by the committee holds the staff of a private hospital, the staff of a civil hospital, a police officer, and the family of one of the people involved in the swap responsible for the negligence.
