SI sent to lines for thrashing studentsA police officer at a police station in Kanpur was sent to lines on charges of beating two students brutally. The family members of the students say that the incident happened on Tuesday, and that the police jeep hit the bike of one of the students and when they protested, the police took them to the police station and beat them. On Wednesday, the family members met the commissioner of police, and demanded action against the subinspector. The commissioner of police ordered a probe and instructed the subinspector to be sent to lines.
