Seven of Samastipur family charred to death in Punjab
Seven members of a family of scrap-pickers were burned alive in their sleep when their shanty near the Ludhiana municipal corporation’s central garbage dump caught fire early Wednesday. They couldn’t come out of the burning hut as the main door was padlocked and probably couldn’t locate the keys.
