Sengar’s parole period be reduced to 2 days: Unnao rape survivorThe survivor, a woman in her 30s, has spoken out about the 14-day parole granted to former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who has been convicted in the rape case. She has alleged that Sengar was orchestrating threats to her and the witnesses and his release from jail could lead to their murder. She also stated that senior district officials were siding with Sengar. On January 16, the Delhi High Court had granted 14-day interim bail to Sengar to attend his daughter's wedding. Earlier, the survivor had also written a letter to the Supreme Court, the President, the Prime Minister, and the Chief Minister stating that after leaving the jail threats to her, the witnesses, and advocate from Sengar will increase. She has written that in her sister's marriage her uncle's bail was objected to, so why did Sengar get interim bail and this happened after he had been convicted. She has also stated that Sengar should be taken out of jail in Delhi Police custody and kept under the supervision of the CBI.
