Seechewal is new head of Buddha Nullah task force
The Ludhiana State Task Force was created to oversee the implementation of the Buddha Dariya Rejuvenation Project. The task force was formed by former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to keep a check on various activities related to the project and to ensure its timely completion. Thakur Uday Singh, head of the Namdhari Sect of Bhaini Sahib, was the patron of this task force, but he had resigned from the post once the Bhagwant Mannled aap government took over in Punjab. The patron of the new task force is environmentalist and Rajya Sabha MP Balbir Singh Sekhewal.
