Salt Lake Sec V: Waste mapping, segregation at source in focus
A waste mapping — from ‘origin to destination’ — will be done at Salt Lake’s Sector V along with a separation of the collection stream for wet and solid wastes. The initiative has been taken by Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA) as part of a capacity building activity to streamline waste segregation at source and recycling them at the area that was introduced in 2019, but is yet to be implemented.
