Ryots unwilling to part with land for Anjanadri Hills work One of the state government's ambitious projects to boost tourism in North Karnataka is to transform Anjanadri Hills in Koppal, which is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. However, the farmers who will have to part with the land to ensure that the plans materialise, are not willing to give away farms, which they point out are fertile. The farmers suggested using barren land, already owned by the government, for its ambitious project.
