Pune senior citizen diagnosed with rare Zika-induced complication
A 61-year-old man from Hadapsar, Pune, was diagnosed with a rare case of Zika meningoencephalitis at Noble Hospital. Confirmed through NIV tests, Dr. Ameet Dravid reported fever, headache, myalgia, and diarrhoea, which quickly led to coma. MRI and CSF analysis ruled out TB and common viral pathogens, revealing severe neurological complications from the Zika virus.
