Pune: QR codes on 700 trees ‘tell’ passers-by their life stories
Students of the botany department at Modern College in Pune have conducted a project to educate residents about the environment. They surveyed the area and found 700 trees belonging to 45 species. QR codes were placed on 250 trees, providing information in written and audio format. The college hopes to inspire other institutes to do the same. Many students have been scanning the QR codes.
