PMC to pay Rs 1.8 crore for breach at dumping site in Wagholi
The National Green Tribunal (NGT) bench here has directed the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to deposit, within two months, Rs1.79 crore environmental compensation cost with the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board for violations committed by the then gram panchayat, Wagholi (now under PMC), at a 1.89-acre dumping site in Wagholi.
