Odisha has 70% uninsured 2-wheelers, 80% LMVs and 40% commercial vehicles
The law mandates compulsory insurance for all types of motor vehicles plying on roads. However, about 70% of the total registered two-wheelers and 80% of light motor vehicles (LMV) in Odisha have been running uninsured, revealed the data shared by the commerce and transport department.
