Nurses want permanent jobs, stir shuts GIMS OPD for a day
The recruitment drive for 225 staff nurses at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences in Greater Noida has been called off after nursing staff protested for permanent positions. The protest caused the suspension of OPD services, leaving over 2,000 patients without treatment. The hospital administration has proposed giving priority points to existing nurses during the recruitment process, with three points being awarded for each year of service. If accepted, the recruitment drive will be restarted.
