Noida AQI severe for third straight day; NCR administrations to take call on WFH advisory
Noida's air quality index (AQI) remained in the 'severe' category for the third consecutive day on Sunday, causing breathing difficulties for residents. The AQI for Greater Noida improved from 'severe-plus' to 'severe' on Saturday. Ghaziabad's AQI remained in the 'very poor' category. The Central Pollution Control Board data shows a significant increase in Noida's AQI in the past week. Restrictions have been imposed in Delhi under the Graded Response Action Plan, including a ban on truck traffic and diesel vehicles. Measures such as working from home and closure of schools may also be implemented.
