No Buddha statue in the middle of lake Deputy commissioner Nitesh Patil has clarified that there is no provision to install an idol of the Buddha in the middle of Fort Lake in Belagavi, which had been planned earlier. He said the funds sanctioned for the project can be used to spread the thoughts of the Buddha.
