MGNREGA helping rural devpt: ZP CEOThe chief executive officer of a local government said that the rural areas are seeing a lot of development work because of the effective implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Act. She spoke after participating in a district-level interaction on the Jala Sanjivini project, which is an initiative to promote agricultural development and employment in rural areas. The project aims to improve the quality of life for farmers in the area and to generate economic growth. The chief executive officer also said that the government has been providing millions of rupees each year under the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Act, which is intended to not only develop villages, but also to generate employment for the villagers.
