MC fined ₹2.2cr as environment compensation
Taking strict action against violation of solid waste management rules and failure of commencement of bioremediation of legacy waste, the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) has imposed an environment compensation worth Rs 35.26 crores on the local bodies department.
