Material recovery facility plant to take care of Ludhiana’s dry waste
The civic officials in Ludhiana, India have come up with a plan to install a material recovery facility (MRF) plant to dispose of dry waste in a scientific manner. They claim that the city generates approximately 500 tonnes of dry waste daily. The officials propose this much capacity of the plant, which will cost around Rs. 40 crore. A biocng plant is also being set up to deal with wet waste. The Mc has already kicked off bioremediation of legacy waste. Now, the process has been started to curb dumping of fresh waste at the dump yard. This MRF facility will help collect the dry waste that will reach the plant after segregation from wet waste and then dispose it of scientifically.
