A large number of children between the age group of six and 18 years, who are regularly found unattended at the Pune railway station, actually flee their homes just to see the big city and stand up on their own two feet, officials of Childline have observed. The NGO works towards counselling and reuniting such children with their families. “Around 60% of these children are from different villages in mainly Maharashtra.
